Using a Word Processing Program in Grade 5

The Grade 5 students continued building their IT skills in Word Processing. They learnt new tools and facilities the program has to offer. Working on Microsoft Word they learnt how to use the cut and paste facility. It was linked to their English Grammar Lesson about words that have ain or air.

Below is an examples of their work. They did a great job and they have learnt the skills really well.

Object Based vs Paint Package in Grade 6

The aim of this activity was to introduce the Grade 6 students to the differences between a Paint Program and an Object-based Program. This was achieved through a practical exercise. The students had to create a scene with characters on a Paint Package and another one on an object-based package. When the process is complete they discussed which program they felt was the best tool for the job.
